Principle of the assay: </b<This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for alphaNAG has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells with a Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated alphaNAG. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between alphaNAG (Standards or samples) and HRP-conjugated alphaNAG with the pre-coated antibody specific for alphaNAG. The more amount of alphaNAG in samples, the less antibody bound by HRP-conjugated alphaNAG. Following a wash to remove any unbound reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in opposite to the amount of alphaNAG in the sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured
